Since the Marawi war, donations have been overflowing for the Philippines. This is thanks to the friendly way our President Rodrigo Duterte interacted with other countries.

This time, Australia will be donating P60 million pesos worth of associated funds and pre-positioned relief supplies. The donation will be addressed to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

This donation will be used to support the response of the government to humanitarian crises. Including in this is that of the crisis caused by the Marawi war.

On Monday, Australian Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull visited the DSWD's National Resource Operations Center that is located in Pasay City. That where he said that Australi helped the Philippines during the war, so they are still determined to help to help us achieve peace.
We have helped the people of the Philippines with the war in Marawi, now we’re determined to help you win the peace, and that’s our commitment,”
In a statement, the Australian embassy said the the donation can support the immediate requirements of the 160,000 people that were affected by the war. The donation will include sleeping mats, tents, blankets, mosquito nets, children's toys and multi-purpose malongs.

Meanwhile, DSWD officer-in-charge Emmanuel Leyco said in a statement that the agency's disaster response capability was boosted by the assistance that Australia is giving. He said it helped “by implementing more efficient systems — and reaching people in need more quickly.”

The donation from Australia is a part of the P120 million Australian grant for a three-year Support Program for Disaster Response, which includes technical assistance from an Australian Civilian Corps adviser, assistance for the DSWD to set up systems for more effective responses to disasters and conflicts, and the construction of a new warehouse at the NROC.
