I don't know about you, but just the fact that every few days, there are raids and police entrapment on powerful people just makes me realize how different our current administration is from the one we previously had.

In case you missed it, a few days ago, former provincial administrator Manuel Merojada revealed what the previous administration did to PDEA's budget just so the drug lords can be protected and PDEA can't do anything about it.

So that explains why the illegal drugs prospered during the previous administration. Now back to the current administration where PDEA got their budget back.

Another Vice Mayor has been raided, this time, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. On Monday, operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Puerto Princesa City Police Station and also Palawan Provincial Police Office conducted the raid around 6am at Vice Mayor Luis Marcaida III's house.

The police was able to seize 30 sachets of suspected shabu and firearms at the said politician's house. The suspected methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu) were sachets conaining white crystalline substance that were wrapped in self-sealing transparent plastic pack. Along with the susoected shabu that was confiscated were one .22 calibre rifle, three rifle grenades, one fragmentation grenade, and four .45 calibre pistols.

Barangay Captain Marilou Gumangan of Barangay Bancao-Bancao, Barangay Captain Francisco Gabuco of Barangay San pedro in Puerto Princesa, and the local media are overseeing the inventory of the seized dangerous drugs and firearms.
