When the news cracked that the Commission of Human Rights was given only P1000 budget for 2018, almost all celebrities were appalled. Almost everyone gave their statements and anger towards the result of the voting in Congress.

An exception to the lot who are showing yellow patches in their alliance, actress-comedienne Beverly Salviejo thinks that the fall from P648 million to P1000 is just right for CHR.

In a Facebook post yesterday, she enumerated why she thinks CHR was biased in what and who they protected, and it is just right that they don't get a budget for next year.

She mentioned the fact that the CHR never made any noise when farmers were massacred when they rallied in Mendiola during the administration of the late President Corazon Aquino.

The CHR, according to her, also did not make noise when farmers from Kidapawan rallied and were met by gunfire where some were killed, women and elderly were even jailed.

All these, according to Salviejo was during the previous administration.

How come they are now howling and protesting when criminals are killed during the Duterte administration, Salviejo wondered.

Does that imply that criminals have more human rights than farmers, she asked.

This post of Salviejo makes you wonder about the thinking that the CHR has. Are they just covering their ears? Or are they following orders?
