During the senate blue ribbon committee hearing about the alleged P6.4 billion worth of shabu shipment that got through our country, Senators Richard Gordon and Antonio Trillanes got into a heated argument.

It started when Trillanes was insisting that the committee invite Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and Atty. Mans Carpio who is the husband of Mayor Sara Duterte based on the statement of customs broker Mark Taguba about the "Davao Group"

If you've been following this hearing, you'll notice that every single day that Taguba was being questioned, his statement changes. The senate cannot ruin their reputation by just listening to "hearsay" which was Gordon's point.

Because of this, Trillanes made a comment about the committee being a "committee de abswelto" which means that the committee is favoring people and pardoning who they want to pardon.

This heated Gordon up. According to him Trillanes was out of order and he will file that Trillanes be cited for contempt because of his accusations to his fellow senators.

Instead of stopping, Trillanes kept on throwing accusations like Gordon treating the committee as a "one-man committee" where he is the only one deciding.

In the middle of their tirade, Senator Tito Sotto acted as the middleman and told them to stop it as it is un-Parliament what they are doing.

After this, Trillanes walked but said that he will come back to the hearing.
